Filming and Shots to be Used

During the summer holidays, so I could ensure alot of necessary time for my project and that I wasnt rushed to finish my work to a sub-standard level in time for my deadline, I decided to get on and begin work on my music video.

I had already known the song I wanted to use, which is 'Supernova' by Mr Hudson as it works excellently alongside my previous coursework task for A2. I then asked my friend and collaborator in many other tasks, Dan Josiah to be in it as well. We decided on two days to film and then also set aside another day to record the song together. The song took a day to record and edit with the effects to make it sound similar to the original. We then spent the next two days filming. Before this however I made sure that I was prepared with a list of shots, angles and settings to be used. This was easier for me as I decided to make my video as close to the original as possible.

Here is the list of shots to be included:

* Outside night shot of each artist singing in a mid-shot.
* Lead singer, sitting on the bed in a low-angle mid-shot singing.
* Lead Singer and collaborative singer singing together against a wall.
* Collaborative singer on his own in a mid-shot
* Collaborative singer singing on the sofa
* Shot of lead singer and a woman stroking his chest on the bed.
* Various close-ups and pans of the woman.
* Close up of lead singer singing

When it came to filming as I was going along, I included other shots i thought would be good for the video. These included:

* A zoom of the collaborative singer looking into the mirror
* A close up of the lead singer falling onto the bed (to be edited by being slowed down and used in the lead up to the bridge)
